Helpful Tips for Making Quiche Lorraine

  • To save time, use a store-bought crust.
  • Cook bacon ahead of time (such as the night before) so it’s easy to toss in when needed.
  • Grated Swiss cheese can be hard to find, so be prepared to shred it manually or with a food processor.

Variations

  • 1/4 pound cooked, diced ham can be used in place of bacon.
  • Gruyere cheese (3 ounces) can be used instead of Swiss.
  • Add minced garlic to your liking (as much or as little as you prefer).

Love this! I made the crust using some leftover pastry dough, and it paired wonderfully with the bacon-cheese-egg filling. The dish looked so fancy yet it was surprisingly easy to pull off. Thanks for sharing this recipe!

What a treat! I haven’t made a quiche in forever, so we did this for dinner and it was so scrumptions, and the leftovers heated up really great in my air fryer.

Sounds fancy but it’s super simple! Perfect for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Delightfully versatile and tasty. Definitely a go-to recipe now!

  5. This looks like a good recipe, I intend to try it. When I need shredded Swiss for a recipe, I go to the deli and ask for a chunk of it so I can shred it myself. I NEVER buy shredded cheese because of the cellulose (cardboard, basically) added to it. Doesn’t melt well! At the moment I have no Swiss so I’ll review this after I make it!

    1. Hi Aimee,
I agree about the cheese; I’ve been shredding mine with my Kitchen Aid shredder attachment.
I can’t wait for you to try this recipe! 🙂
