This Classic Mint Julep Recipe is simple to make with only three ingredients: mint, sugar, and bourbon. It is perfect for watching the Kentucky Derby or relaxing by the pool.

Ingredients

Bourbon

teaspoon
Powdered Sugar

Sprigs Mint
Instructions
Remove leaves from mint stem and place into 12-ounce glass.
Add powdered sugar and a drop of water.
Use a muddler to mash ingredients until powdered sugar is dissolved.
Pour in Bourbon and fill glass with crushed ice.
Stir until outside of glass is frosted.
Add a sprig of mint for decoration.
Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
Notes
Crushed ice is best and helps dilute this strong drink more quickly.
If you don't have a muddler, you can use the tip of a wooden spoon.
Add extra water or powdered sugar to make this drink to your liking.
