  • 1 Cup Brown Sugar
  • ¼ Cup Butter softened
  • 1 Egg unbeaten
  • 2 Cups Apples unpeeled and chopped
  • 1 Cup Flour sifted
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • ½ teaspoon Nutmeg
  • ¼ teaspoon Salt
  • ½ Cup Walnuts chopped
  • 1 Cup Powdered Sugar


  • Preheat oven to 350℉.
  • Grease 9-inch square pan and set aside.
  • Combine brown sugar, butter, and eggs in mixing bowl.
  • Beat together until fluffy.
  • Stir in apples.
  • Sift flour, cinnamon, baking soda, nutmeg, salt, and powdered sugar in separate bowl.
  • Stir the sifted dry ingredients and the walnuts into the apple mixture.
